To be continued...

I guess that is how I should have finished my last post...oops!! Here is the last of the 'sun flowers' (I promise!!) I tried using the rub-ons directly on the glass votive holder..but because of it's shape it didn't work...I would get 90% of the way completed and ughhh the scallops on the flower would overlap... I tried over and over again...hence what left me with an empty wine bottle to decorate!! Hee Hee!!

Details on what you see:

Candle Votive

A Perfect Day Rub-Ons (111277), Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip CS, linen thread (104199) chocolate chip grosgrain (111367), 1 3/4" circle punch (112004), 1" circle punch (109046), Matchbox Messages (113800) chocolate chip classic ink

Chest of Drawers (isn't this the cutest thing ever??)

Sizzix Bigz XL Matchbox Die (114890), chocolate chip corduroy buttons (114339), Good Morning Sunshine DSP (113966) Directions: cut out and assemble a total of 3 matchbox boxes. Secure a button (drawer pull) in front of pull out drawer. Stack and glue/tape the three drawers and wrap coordinating DSP around the entire stack of drawers. Then add your feet (just remove the metal fasteners from the brad and attach with glue dots) EASY!! Each drawer held a chocolate turtle...YUM!

Wine Bottle w/ Lights

Metal Edge Tags (103374), Mellow Moss and Basic Black CS, linen thread (104199) 1 1/4" circle punch (104403), 1 3/8" circle punch (104401), black gingham ribbon (104832), Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon (109069), retired rub-ons but you could us anything! I also used a 20 light strand of white lights. Let me know if you have any questions. Take care!! ~Erin

April Showers...bring May flowers!!

Okay...maybe I should say April showers bring May 'sun'flowers these were SO easy to make!! I love using the scallop punch to make these cute sunflowers with the Bella Rose DSP (112041) in the center. The leaves were made using Old Olive CS and the Sizzix Sizzlits Birds & Blooms die (113485). I attached the flowers to the jumbo paperclip with our Pop-Up Glue Dots (104183) added a ribbon and voila~ I have a workshop coming up and each attendee will be receiving one...now I just need to make more.. a few friends have asked me to make them one!! I made 15 of these favors in like 15 minutes...SERIOUSLY!!! How cool is that??
Now...the box/basket pictured was inspired from Laurie Froehlich check out her blog here. I changed mine a 'wee' bit and the dimesions I used were Chocolate Chip CS at 9 1/2" x 6" and score at first 3 1/4" from either side and then 5/16" from either side. You could fold the 5/16" part outside the box or inside for added stability. I also made a total of 4 of the Baskets and Blooms die sides and adhered them together to have folds on either side. Does that make sense?? Once you lay it out..it will make sense. Then decorate the front, sides and how cool is it that you can alter the size of the basket to hold what you need?? Inside this one are 4 cards/envelopes for my hostess as a thank-you gift.
Are you sick of the 'sun'flowers yet?? Well sorry!! They're baaaaack!! This cute little pizza box was inspired by http://www.stampjourney.com/ she has a wonderful picture tutorial and I just changed mine to match the 'flower' theme. Another quick and easy project..this holds (4) 3x3 note cards/envelopes held together with some linen thread for the door prize. Well..off to make my little guys B-Day card....little yikes..he is turning 14 tomorrow!! WOW!! I can hardly believe it!! Where does the time go?? He will be starting highschool next fall...then driving...oh my!! Need a glass of wine BYE !!

Bag in a Box or Box in a Bag..

Here is a a belated B-Day gift that was actually the result of my very first Box in a Bag. I had seen them here and there and always wanted to try to make one...just thought it would be a little too difficult. NOPE!! Pretty easy and now that I know how I will be making more of them! You can too...just click here for a tutorial.
Recipe: Washington Apple DSP (112461), linen thread (104199), designer buttons bouguet (112092), riding hood red taffeta ribbon (111365), clear buttons (105447), round tab punch (108340), slit punch ( 'to create scallop edge' (104388), 3/4" circle punch (107217) pretties kit (109114) and whisper white, pumpkin pie and riding hood red CS. Now...shhhh don't tell anyone..but I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Now off to work on some more goodies!
