Textured Impressions Die

Oh...how I love the Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flower (114517). For those of you who use the Cuttlebug, this embossing folder is similar to the CuttleBug version and will work just fine. However...I do have the Sizzix Big Shot and I have since proposed to it (him). We are to be married in the fall! I attended Leadership in January and actually won this die along with the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set (113734)!! I was so excited, but shame on me...have not used it until now!! The card stock used was from the Taste of Textiles (113991) which looks so rich and shimmery. Not sure how well you can see in the picture but it is very elegant! Maybe I can use this for my upcoming wedding!! Just kiding!! Let me know if you have any questions on this card, or the Impressions Die. I hope you all have a great day!!

SAB Gift Box

Wow...2 posts in one day! Maybe I have 'spring' fever!~LOL I have to call Stampin' Up! I tried to make some cute little boxes using the Sizzix Big Shot Bigz XL Box #2 die (114518) and I think I have a defective die...it was cutting through my card stock in one area where it's not supposed to....and I tried all sorts of paper (DSP, CS and textured CS) they all were cut straight through! I can feel through the foam and on the side where it's cutting it instead of scoring feels higher. That is a first for me, I have not had ANY problems with any of the other Big Shot dies & accessories. So...I went blog 'hoppin' and found this tutorial from http://www.chicnscratch.typepad.com/ (check out her sight it's great!! Thanks Angie for all of your great tutorials!!) click here for the Gift Box. I used the Sale-A-Bration Delicate Dots DSP (114674) remember you can earn this FREE just by purchasing $50 in Stampin' Up! goodies. Click here to shop now 24/7!! I needed a box large enough to hold a Classic Black Stampin' Spot and an Incentive Stamp as a thank-you to one of my hostesses (thanks again Joyce!!)

Happy Spring!!

So it's finally 'spring' and to be quite honest I am surprised that I am posting now and not on the first day of summer! When I look at everyone's blogs I am just 'WOWED' where do you all find the time to post?? I barely have time to pee!! Oh enough about me!! I promised my downline that I would post a picture of something I 'CASED' right out of the catalog and their challenge is to find what and where...first one to let me know WINS!! I have something special for them.
Spring is so exciting...I love the colors. Flowers are in bloom...the grass is getting greener and soon it will be time to mow..wait maybe spring isn't so great after all! I hate mowing and are you sneezing yet?? I hate allergies too!! When will summer be here??
These carrots were made using a template a bit larger than the one on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ a friend of mine designed a template that was so easy my husband was able to make them! Well...let me explain, he did the cutting/scoring and I stamped...not sure I have ever seen him stamp! He has trimmed and mounted my new stamp sets, installed shelving for my storage and dowels were trimmed for the ribbon. He has offered opinions on what a specific card or scrapbook page needs but has he stamped?? I think not! Oh...now I can tell you he LOVES the Sizzix Big Shot! He helped make stars out of aluminum flashing with the 5-point 3D star (113473) That tutorial can be seen here. I might have to make him get inky and post his creation!! Here is a close-up picture:
Recipe:
Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen
Stamp Sets: All Holidays, Playful Petals
Ink: Pumkin Pie
These have been a big hit and hopefully I can have John make more...off the store to buy beer (maybe that will convince him!)
Happy Stampin'~Erin

Punch Art Bunny!!

I made this...and thought 'WOW' I made this?? How many times have you been blog hoppin' (get it??) and saw something so cute that you had to try it!! Well..this card was inspired by Jackie Topa click here to see her site and where you can find a tutorial showing how to make the side step card. Folded flat it fits nicely in a square 5 1/2" envelope (may require extra postage). It went together way easier than I had ever expected! My new favorite thing is punch art and will be putting together a punch class in the near future. Stay tuned!! Now off to work on some St. Patty's projects for my downline. Have a great day!

Easter Surprise!! This card I made after seeing some ideas on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ and after seeing the sample in the March Stampin' Success (pg.28). I love that SU! demonstrators get extra ideas from Stampin' Up! When you lift the top section of the card the egg cracks open and the little chick from the Good Egg Stamp Set is revealed (114974). Hard to see from the photo, the sentiment at the bottom is "You Crack Me Up" Too cute!!

Here is another picture with the "chick peeping out" I traced the bottom section of the egg (which was cut with scissors in a zig-zag pattern) with pencil so I would know where to stamp the chick. I used Sahara Sand Marker to ink only the chick portion on the stamp. Other items used: Card Stock- So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand, Big Shot, Stampin' Up! Backgrouds 1 (the So Saffron CS has the small circles texture plate), Whisper White organza ribbon, Rich Regal Brads, So Saffrron classic ink pad, scallop edge punch, dimensionals, paper snips, Stampin' Pastels, Sale-A-Bration Delicate Dots DSP. The basket is made by using the Big Shot and the Baskets and Blooms die, Delicate Dots DSP, Whisper White organze ribbon, All Holidays, Linen Thread, 1 1/4" circle punch, small cello bag (filled with yummies), clear rhinestone brad. I have a workshop coming up in a few weeks and the this is one of the projects that we will be creating. Can you believe Easter is coming?? Where does the time go??
